About Dave:
Dave Gillis was born in Boston and got his first guitar for Christmas in 1964. Soon he began playing and before long he was singing folk and bluegrass songs. He enjoyed listening and playing Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan songs. By age 16 he was playing out at folk city in Greenwich Village. He played the bar circuit for many years but now spends most of his time writing and composing music. The new self titled cd is a collection of songs aimed at baby-boomers. The lyrics tell the story of years gone by and memories that are still fresh...Dave Gillis has been called a songwriter's songwriter and a talented guitarist...the cd show-cases these talents....
